[Mechanical Engineer] Mechanical Engineer

GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking Mechanical Engineer to support a federal site near Piketon, OH.

Position Overview:
Perform mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
Modify and review production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to: power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
Design mechanical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
Apply strong knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering services industry.
Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.
Update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.
Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations.
Execute all other duties, as assigned.

Bachelorís Degree in an engineering field from an ABET accredited program and 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
PE license, preferred.
Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and analytical skills (AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, hydraulic analysis, and HVAC analysis programs).
Good attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting federal sites highly preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance, if necessary.
Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
