THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELORS DEGREE IN A RELATED FIELD WITH 10-14 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
INDIVIDUAL SHOULD HAVE:
Experience with nuclear safety document development, review, and approval
Experience with implementing nuclear safety requirements
Knowledge of and experience with Department of Energy (DOE) requirements and processes
Experience in the D&D of nuclear facilities
Ability to research historical documents and plans to determine the appropriate actions to meet DOE requirements for D&D
Ability to review analytical data and determine the appropriate facility hazard categorization and nuclear safety controls
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and teams
Understanding of integrated work control practices
The period of performance will be through September 30, 2021.
Most work can be performed remotely, although at least one site visit will be required for facility walk downs.
Support for Nuclear Safety:
Task 1.1: Perform an initial and final hazard categorization document for DP West Slabs at TA-21. Work will include developing a description of activities, performing a hazards and accident analysis as appropriate, and developing a final hazard categorization based on applicable release refractions and energy sources available.
Task 1.2: Address and resolve comments on Hazard Categorization Documents from N3B and EM-LA.
Task 1.3: Assist N3B in the implementation of required nuclear safety controls at TA-21
Task 1.4: Assist N3B in developing a strategy and implementing work plans to efficiently conduct the D&D of the facilities, minimizing the potential for stopping work due to changing conditions.
