Title: Asset Management Engineer I 7587

This position is located at the General Office in Akron, Ohio 44308.
PR: $36/hr. Local candidates only, may be required to work onsite once we return to the office. Bachelor's degree is required.
The Asset Information department is a newly created department that is responsible for all business aspects information/data associated with FE’s substation equipment. The primary storage of the information is in Cascade (equipment management database), PowerBase (a relay configuration database), and Asset Health Center. This position will be responsible for equipment entry into our Cascade system, work order integration with Powerbase, assist with EDOA element to device mapping, assist in assigning ownership to elements in Cascade, and Pre-Energization sign off.

• Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety
• Work Order Integration with Powerbase
• Equipment Entry into the Cascade Database
• Assist in improving the equipment entry and removal processes.
• Assist in assigning ownership to elements in Cascade and Powerbase.
• Assist in automating annual reports
• Perform Pre-Energization Equipment Sign-off Process
• Run data queries against system data
• Support print reviews to assist in customer data requests
• Support process improvement activities that increase productivity and enhance data quality
• Engage in open, honest, direct, and ongoing conversation amongst team members.
• Provide support to users

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Utility or Big Data experience preferred.
• Excellent customer relations skills and strong communication skills to make clear, accurate and concise oral and written reports.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and to provide excellent customer service, as well as work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information to various levels in the organization
• The ability to answer phone calls and communicate effectively with other disciplines/customers remotely and in person.
• Excellent analytical abilities involving complex problems; exercise sound judgment; detail oriented.
• Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships
• Familiarity working with databases is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen or have a green card.
