[Project Manager] 4 year Contract-Perdiem-Mob/Demob

This position has single point accountability or can possibly be under the general direction of a Sr. Project Director or Manager of Project Management.
The Project Manager II (PM 2) position is responsible for the management, or the assistance of managing, all phases of project planning and execution to ensure all project success factors are met, including but not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. In addition, this position is highly involved in the funding management and budgeting of the project / program responsible.
This position will lead a project team consisting of assigned individuals from various organizations including project controls, planning, engineering, implementation, maintenance, and/or other resources such as administrative support staff and contingent workers.
The Project Manager will be responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures as required.
This position will manage multiple “Green I” or “Green II” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree
In addition to required degree, 7 years of prior project related work-related experience
In lieu of Bachelors degree AND 7 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 9 year(s) related work experience
Proficient in project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing projects typically classified as “Green I/II” by the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix
BS degree in Electrical (EE), Mechnical (ME), or Civil Engineering (CE)
Advanced degree: MBA, MS in Project Management, or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of project cost management and scheduling
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Ability to manage projects in the $30M+ range
5 years of supervisory experience
Master’s degree – Business (MBA), Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent
PMI (PMP) / CMII / AACE / Utility Technical Certifications
Contractor’s License
Professional Engineer License and/or PMP certification
Utility Experience
Construction Management knowledge
Expertise to Strong Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
Project related work experience
Risk Management
Leadership
Employee Management/Development
Oversight
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 9 years of project management experience.
Graduation from a four-year college or university.
Proficient in project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters - business (MBA), project management, or equivalent.
Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMP or CAPM Certification; CMII/Construction Certifications; Professional Engineer License.
Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
Experience in utility industry.
Knowledge in construction management.
The Project Manager II may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management).
