***Procurement Specialist-34 Requisition Writer***

Duties/Responsibilities
Provide a requisition writing support along with a variety of administrative and tracking support services. Assist in the planning, preparation, control, and implementation of requisition processing services. Assist with the development and implementation of products and/or processes specific to the procurement organization. Serve as liaison with others within and outside the organization regarding activities related to creation of requisitions, mission, objectives, planning, and analysis as required. Follow all applicable site procedures including office, safety, and security procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform primarily as a requisition creator, and as a generalist, a variety of administrative functions in a SRNS organizational unit by supporting/assisting procurement representatives as follows: (this list is not inclusive)
-Executing requisitioning responsibilities as assigned by the Procurement Representative (PR)
- Administering requisition requests for materials / services, as directed by procurement supervision
-Coordinate and complete required site training
-Ensure compliance with procedures and requirements for the creation and administration of requisitions, including edits and revisions as required.
-Reviewing requisition requests and assisting requesters in providing the information necessary for a requisition to be routed and processed as designated by the PR
-Provide requisition tracking information management as required.
-Provide level of self-motivation in performing required/expected work while acting as liaison between requester and Procurement Representative.

A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on Week B) or shift schedules. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch unpaid. Normal work location for this position will be an office building, but the service provider may be assigned to work in a process facility and could be assigned to a shift schedule.

Education(1 Qualification):

High School diploma and 2-5 years practical experience in a business or administrative area OR Associate Degree in a nontechnical or business discipline with at least 2 years practical experience in business or administrative area. OR BS/BA in a nontechnical or business discipline and at least 1 year of practical experience in business, administrative, procurement, and/or contracting.

Experience/Skills(10 Qualifications):

Prior experience in a procurement purchasing capacity

Working experience in Oracle PeopleSoft

Candidate must demonstrate a knowledge of commercial procurement practices, with experience relevant to purchasing / tracking.

Ability to support a variety of Procurement and Administrative functions by assisting in evaluating, scheduling, prioritizing, and accomplishing work

Two years practical experience in a business or administrative area

Working experience and computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe

Good oral and written communication skills

Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel

Ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute

Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance

Licenses(1 Qualification):

An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties Subcontract personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared subcontractor may be required to apply for a DOE clearance.
