Job Title: Project Controls Specialist
Location: Choctaw Generating Station./ French Camp MS
Pay Rate: $92/hour
Per Diem: Yes ($155/day)
Mob/Demob: Yes ($500 each way)
Duration: 3 months

Project/outage detailed project schedule development and maintenance with Primavera P6 Scheduling ability. Their main objective is to assist in development, monitoring and updating the Integrate Outage Schedule and communicate that projects are still on schedule to be completed on time.
Lead project scheduling, set baselines, conduct updates, analyze schedule data, and communicate schedule variances and track progress.
Coordinate schedule with internal and contractor teams and conduct daily/weekly meetings to review. This includes daily walkdown to review project progress.
Track and analyze the schedule and alert team of any critical path changes and potential resolutions to the changes using the software and working with the customers. Provide supporting reports.
Experience Level: At least 5 years of experience creating and tracking medium to large outage projects in a power plant/industrial environment preferred.
Assume control of the established Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the outage on behalf of the Choctaw Generating Facility within the Power Generation Primavera P6 environment.
Sit with contract manager prior to outage start to review schedule for understanding of scope, WBS, coding, filters, baseline, etc.
Receive in PDF email or direct hand off printed format the daily updates of progress Monday – Friday.
Make appropriate daily updates to the IMS, reschedule, review updated schedule, provide written report (format provided by Entergy) to plant and contract manager on variances to baseline, changes to critical path, issues or concerns.
Resend copies, filtered and unfiltered to plant staff and contract manager in PDF format through email or printed paper format by direct hand off daily Monday – Friday for new updates to be made.
Participate in daily update meetings Monday – Friday via WebEx or in person and lead discussion on schedule changes and effects.
Add additional work from outage into the IMS as needed and ensure logic tied appropriately with correct activity coding used.
Provide weekly report (format provided by Entergy) to Outage Supt every Thursday prior to 12PM containing various percent completes needed, critical path, variances, issues, projected completion dates, etc
