[Design Engineer] Media Production/Services Specialist 2 - LANL - 6274

Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for multiple Media Production/Services Specialist 2 opportunities for our customer in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Researches, prepares, and produces digital imagery (still or videos) for training, promotion, documentation, or other Laboratory official purposes for both internal and external audiences. Serves as primary contact for photographic and videographic services required by Laboratory customers.

Specific duties may include conducting needs assessments, interacting with customer organizations to analyze and develop visual media content and/or presentations, and advising customers of Laboratory media policies and procedures.

A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of specialized area plus working knowledge of other related fields. Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Contributes to the development of organizationís goals and objectives. Works under limited direction; receives general instructions on new assignments. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Determines approach to solutions, plans schedule and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.

Additional Requirements:
Photography and video production for institutional communications products including museum exhibits, Laboratory magazines, web pages and training. Video production could include writing, shooting, editing, and directing on-camera talent for desired product and message communicating technical or non-technical subject matter. Photography services include environmental portraits, documentation, studio portraits, group shots, with professional lighting equipment and techniques in all areas of the Laboratory and Northern New Mexico. Candidate should be able to work with minimal direction in challenging production environments, both independently and part of a team of other media specialists. Candidate should be experienced in basic project management for video production, proficient in creative software such as Adobe, and skilled in visual storytelling.

Position requires a bachelorís degree a minimum five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Area Clearance
This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility* requirements for access to classified matter.

*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
