DNJP16175 CONSTRUCTION MANAGER SALISBURY, NC
ReNuke Services is seeking a Construction Manager at our client site in Salisbury, NC
*****Preferred ash basin and landfill experience*****
Contractor field oversight, review basic design concepts/drawings to support field oversight responsibility.
Evaluation of construction, safety and project execution plans
Identify and mitigate risk items that may jeopardize safety, cost, schedule, quality or environmental compliance, essentially promote and oversee positive project performance.
Daily construction status reports, weekly IM reports and behavioral Based Safety Observations
Lead construction interface with Contractor Superintendent
Primary Owner Representative attending Contractors daily Pre-Job Brief / Daily Safety meetings
Interface, as necessary, with Project Managers, Project Engineering and System Owners / CCP O&M to include addressing / supporting project turnover
Project punch list development and completion, quality walk downs and actions in all weather and terrain conditions and daily communications with site PMs especially when field issues arise
In close coordination with Environmental, ensure that Contractor(s) are executing work in absolute adherence to all environmental requirements, perform required Erosion & Sediment Control (E&SC) inspections as required.
Document lessons learned and operational experience for project and fleet continuous improvement.
Evaluate project safety plans, execution plans, readiness reviews, etc., evaluate engineering documentation
Review and provide comments (where necessary) on Contractor submittals to include Contractor-initiated or Owner-initiated Requests for Information (RFIs)
Perform schedule review and integrate comments in coordination with site Project Controls representative and project manager
Provide leadership to team of assembled IMs if applicable including: Leveraging work / task assignment, providing coverage where necessary and primary interface with site superintendent
Coordinate with Contractor Project Manager, in tandem with company Project Manager
Engage in the development of project plans for field implementation.
AS degree and five or more years of field supervisory experience constructing or project field implementation (preferably in a regulated utility environment and in ash basin excavation and landfill construction) OR Ten or more years of field supervisory experience constructing or project field implementation in lieu of a degree.
Preferred ash basin and landfill experience.
Must be willing and able to travel and work remotely as needed
Must maintain schedule adherence while ensuring safety is top priority.
Proven track record of taking ownership and accountability for own actions and those of the implementation teams actions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
