UDR Consulting Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for a Principal Systems Engineer opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.

DUTIES

The subcontractor shall provide Staff Augmentation support for the Savannah River Tritium Enterprise (SRTE) and the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) classified network. The subcontractor will be responsible for the review of specified requirements for network expansion projects and fiber work.  Provide network architecture, network management, network security, firewall management and Linux system management.  The subcontractor shall also present continuous improvement solutions and enhancements to meet business needs. Tasks will require effective and professional communication skills (both written and oral) when interacting with SRTE and SRPPF network staff and customers. Act as a mentor to SRTE and SRPPF classified network staff by sharing insights and prior lessons learned from previous experience.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with 15 years proven performance in an information technology assignment; or
Bachelor’s degree in non-related Computer Science or related discipline with Minimum of 20 years of proven performance in an information technology assignment.
Experience:

Previous experience with Tritium Facility Network (TFnet)/RedDesk and associated IT networks.
Experience with network architecture, network management, network security, and firewall management consulting and operations.
Experience with Linux and Macintosh system management consulting and operations.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Capable of obtaining and maintaining a “L” clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.
Previous experience at SRNS preferred.
Work Hours:
One day per month on site.  First Wednesday of every month.  Subcontractor must work onsite except at SRNS's discretion may be permitted to work remotely. A set schedule on workdays/hours will be determined upon subcontractor’s arrival.

Area Security Clearance:
A security clearance is not initially required but the issuance of a DOE uncleared badge will be required. Candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a “L” clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
