Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Fellow Technical Advisor/Network opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.

This Position is part time, up to FORTY (40) hours a week.
Remote options at managements discretion.

SUMMARY

The subcontractor shall provide Staff Augmentation support for the Savannah River Tritium Enterprise (SRTE) and the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) classified network. The subcontractor will be responsible for the review of specified requirements for network expansion projects and fiber work. Provide network architecture, network management, network security, firewall management and Linux system management. The subcontractor shall also present continuous improvement solutions and enhancements to meet business needs. Tasks will require effective and professional communication skills (both written and oral) when interacting with SRTE and SRPPF network staff and customers. Act as a mentor to SRTE and SRPPF classified network staff by sharing insights and prior lessons learned from previous experience.

Adhere to all required SRNS protocols and standards in the support of enterprise computer system applications. Be available on site during normal business hours for questions, resolve problems, etc. This position may occasionally use a flexible work schedule which may include some overtime (OT) or schedule adjustment as needs arise to support ongoing system operations such as month-end or year-end closing, and system upgrades. Generate electronic weekly status reports to SRTE lead and subcontract technical representative (STR). Subcontractor should be able to work with little to no direction to complete assigned tasks.

EDUCATION

Position requires a 4-year degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 15 years proven performance in information technology assignment or
4-year degree in non-related field with 20 years proven performance in an information technology assignment.
Experience:

Previous experience with Tritium Facility Network (TFnet)/RedDesk and associated IT networks
Experience with network architecture, network management, network security, and firewall management consulting and operations
Experience with Linux and Macintosh system management consulting and operations
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Capable of obtaining and maintaining a L clearance
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.
Previous experience at SRNS preferred
Work Hours:
One day per month on site. First Wednesday of every month. Subcontractor must work onsite except at SRNS's discretion may be permitted to work remotely. A set schedule on workdays/hours up to 40 hours a week will be determined upon subcontractors arrival.

Area Security Clearance:
A security clearance is not initially required but the issuance of a DOE uncleared badge will be required. Candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a L clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
