Are you looking for the next step in your career using your CAD skills? Thomas Thors client is looking to
add an electrical designer to their Design Engineering Department for a 12-month contract. During this
project, you will contribute to the broad range of drawing configurations of a nuclear power plant in
Mineral, VA. Along with gaining knowledge of mechanical and electrical distribution systems.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design software.
Working knowledge of and demonstrated skill in applying applicable regulations, related codes,
and standards related to specialty craft needs of the department
Advanced skill in the use of CADD Microstation/AutoCAD software, FMS (File Management
System), DocTop & DocEm, Passport, DMIS, and Maximo.
Able to work with various groups in the station to provide a user-friendly product.
Willing to get into the field and perform hands-on walk downs to assist in developing plant
modifications and Project Drawings in support of the modification process.
Preference for Electrical drawing skills is desired this is what the team needs the most help in
Preferred Years of Experience:
Prefer designers with +5 years of experience focusing on electrical designs.
Education:
Preferred - Associates in Drafting or experience and demonstrated abilities in Drafting
Required - High School or GED
