Support the Tritium Operation organization in the Project & Technical Support for all the Operating facilities at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Operations. Provide technical assistance in developing, reviewing, approving and presenting technical work documents for the safe operation of Tritium. Ensure that the developed technical documents comply with requirements and codes in the DOE Orders and applicable controls are implemented in field procedures. Conduct Technical Support assessments and maintain program manuals. Services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. SRNS Management will determine appropriate schedule depending on work needs. Each workday has an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. Extended work hours and workdays are to be expected with this position. A part time schedule may be utilized per management approval.
Area Security Access:
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on work assignments. Candidate who has had an active Q clearance within the past two years is preferred.
HS with 20 years experience, BS with 15 years experience or MS with 10 years of experience
Demonstrated previous Tritium Operation experience is preferred
Active Q security clearance within past two years is preferred
Certifications & Qualifications in Tritium Facilities
Demonstrated previous experience with the use and implementation of DOE Order 426.2, 4B Manual, 2S Manual Conduct of Operation, and related directives and standards.
Demonstrated previous experience in developing, reviewing, approval and presenting NNSA Technical Work Documents.
Demonstrated personal accountability for facility/project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the safe performance of work; and proficiency in performing Nuclear Technical Support Program assessments.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance
Demonstrated a minimum of 20 years of recent experience in the Tritium Operation through support of the Department of Energy (DOE) or the commercial nuclear industry.
