Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a Tier 1 vendor and we are actively recruiting for an experienced, Digital Finance Project Manager, affiliated with the downtown Chattanooga office. This role will assist in choosing between SAP and Oracle solutions for the new General Ledger system. Ideal candidates will have experience with both systems.
Target start date: 02/06/23
W2 Hourly Pay Rate: (time & half for overtime)
Duration: 18 - 36 months
95% remote – Local or Regional candidates highly preferred

Responsibilities:
Serve as the Senior Project Manager for a Domain of products (Finance, Human Relations, Nuclear, etc.) to execute project and program delivery
Lead and manage a team with a diverse set of talents and responsibilities
Initiate, implement, manage, and communicate projects plans, capabilities, and major capability delivery for strategic initiatives including interfacing with Domain Leads and the Executive Digital Steering Committee
Provide leadership in the requirements gathering process; both business and technical and work with quality assurance analyst to confirm and receive sign-off on requirements prior to execution
Assures appropriate integration between project sponsor, project team members and stakeholders to address change management
Responsible for leading and driving communications between product owners, product project managers and business owners, and escalating issues to management as appropriate.
Owner of the project/programs that support domains digital roadmaps and synchs with domains and portrays product delivery, dependencies of products and reflective of domain’s product portfolio
Develop a project/program budget and overall plan for product delivery for respective domain(s), manage funding forecast, and recommend tradeoffs to achieve product delivery
Ensure goals are met for quality, product/project delivery, and portfolio performance
Produce accurate and timely reporting of program/product status through lifecycle and provide executive level presentations as required
Oversight and responsibility to produce program risk registers inclusive of domain products and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
Support the domain strategy with product owners and domain leads as digital road maps are developed
Work with portfolio management to develop programs and timely reporting of financial data and workload updates
Work with the IT Vendor Management & Origination (VM&O) team to support project related RFx activities, facilitate development of SOWs, provide project information to inform sourcing strategy, and provide relevant vendor performance feedback to the VMO for performance discussions

Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting/Finance, or technical field (Master’s degree preferred)
Demonstrated experience implementing financial systems – General Ledger replacement
Demonstrated experience leading financial system projects in the Utility Industry - Digital Finance Transformation
Demonstrated experience with SAP and Oracle solutions
Demonstrated experience communicating at the joint project team level up to executive leadership
Requires ten years utility project manager experience, or equivalent functional area work experience including three years of increased responsibilities leading project teams and project management experience
Requires specialized in-depth knowledge of project management techniques, experience to resolve in-depth problems, and practical experience in project scoping and cost estimating
Ability to look beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems.
Must possess active Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) (or be on track to earn PMP certification within one year of starting this contract assignment)
Demonstrated desire to excel in professional field of study as demonstrated by Certification/Licensure in professional fields of study (e.g. CPA, CFP, etc.)
