Job Description:
The Structural Designer will work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate to a complex, advanced scope.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to read, interpret and generate design drawings with minimal input from engineering.
Must have the ability to walk-down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate minor design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings.
Direct, check, and approve work done by other Designers.
Conduct reviews of model using 3D review platform.
Prepare 3D layouts for conceptual and detailed designs.
Ability to develop estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, key quantities, tracking reports, and project scope of service.
Education:
Must have a minimum of an associate degree (preferred but not required).
Experience:
A minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred).
Strong knowledge and skills in development of structural framing plans, sections and details for manufacturing structures, floor framing, roof framing, faηade system framing.
3D modeling and drawing extraction skills utilizing Revit or S3D software (S3D preferred).
Highly skilled in computer-aided design (CAD) with demonstrated experience in computer-aided drafting applications to originate and produce drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity.
Other Job Requirements:
Must be US Citizen
Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design.
