Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a, Junior Automation Support Technologist, for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant near Richland, WA. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime.
Our client is targeting $35.00 - $40.00/hour for this role.

Project Overview:
The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment Plant will use vitrification technology to process and solidify radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site. This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 9/80 schedule offering every other Friday off.

Responsibilities:
• Support users by providing access or creating user accounts to software and applications supported by the Engineering Automation group.
• Perform routine data quality checks and support teams and users in tracking of information, locating documents and/ or document preparation.
• Support training presentations including preparing training documents and slides.
• Support in the preparation of change management documents under engineer supervision.
• Assist engineers and project users in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources.
• Work with the Engineering Automation team on schedule and reporting work progress.
• Work to organize and coordinate software lifecycle documents.
• Update Engineering Automation website with latest information.
• Perform routine data quality checks, and provide user assistance related to automation tools.
• Interface and coordinate with various engineering disciplines.
• Assure work is performed on schedule with high quality standards (adhering to federally mandated requirements).

Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar field.
• 1 - 3 years of experience with ability to collect, organize, and present technical data through relational databases.
• Ability to analyze data within technical documents to identify relevant information and properly classify that information so that it can be sorted and readily retrieved for later analysis and use by project staff.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor large quantities of information and employ efficient extraction techniques in response to requests for information.
• Proven ability to communicate with other data analysts, engineers, technical experts, and management.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
