JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Engineer shall provide NNSA Capital Projects (NCP) Project Management
Office (PMO) support services for work being performed at SRNS. The primary focus of these
support efforts will be risk management expertise and PMO activities in support of
DOE Order 413.3B projects. These support efforts will include establishing consistent risk management programs for the individual projects and supporting PMO integration and
support activities.
The Senior Engineer will perform primarily as Risk Management personnel. Assignments will be reviewed and confirmed by the NCP PMO Director, PMO Risk Management Lead, or their designee.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The Senior Engineer is responsible for consistent risk management programs for NCP projects
and support PMO integration activities in accordance with and the following:
• Implement DOE G 413.3-7A DOE Risk Management Guide requirements in
• support of project teams as directed by the PMO risk management lead.
• Support the NCP PMO in project management and integration activities including.
• assessments, document preparation, and EVMS implementation.
• Establish a consistent methodology and processes for conducting risk.
• management activities using an integrated model for the project teams.
• Lead project teams and implement Risk & Opportunity tools.
• Ability to use integrated risk management tools such as Active Risk Manager
• (ARM), Enterprise Risk Management & Opportunities Management Systems
• (EROMS), SAFRAN software, and cost estimating system Crystal Ball or similar.
• Monte Carlo tools as directed.
• Provide life-cycle risk management guidance.
• Develop risk management documentation.
• Provide knowledge transfer to project teams in preparation of risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering discipline.

Experience/Skills:
• Minimum of 5 years of nuclear or industrial engineering experience.
• Previous Risk Management experience at DOE/NNSA sites
• Previous experience in support of Risk Management activities
• Experience using integrated Risk Modeling software.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.

• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, excellent listening skills, ability to work well with others in a team environment, and excellent planning and organizational skills.

Work Hours:
A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/lO' s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80' s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. The work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Design Authority Manager. These positions will not offer the option to telework initially.

Area Security Access:
A DOE security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be able to obtain a DOE "Q" clearance. Preference will be given to candidates who have held a clearance in the past two years.
