Come join a growing multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers designing the next generation nuclear power plant. We are seeking a SmartPlant 3D Electrical Designer for immediate hire. The Designer must be eager to learn new skills to create feasible/practical solutions to challenging design problems. The Engineer will be part of a team executing a U.S. Government cost-shared development program requiring efficient completion of engineering assignments.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
? Utilizing Smart3D (formerly SmartPlant 3D) to create 3D electrical models of the electrical systems within and supporting the plant, including but not limited to single line diagrams, cable trays & cable tray supports, raceways, lighting, duct banks, cable routing, pull boxes, and embedded conduit
? Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure accuracy, and resolution of interferences ? Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure constructability, accuracy, and absence of interferences
? Developing and checking design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards.
? Building relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively
Minimum Requirements:
? Minimum 2 years of experience as a SmartPlant 3D Electrical Designer
? Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards, and design and/or layout criteria
? Strong knowledge of electrical drafting and design standards and techniques
? Excellent attention to detail and capability of producing error-free documents
? Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills

Optional Additional Qualifications:
? Working understanding and hands on experience of other design software, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and Revit
? Completion of Intergraph/Hexagon certified training courses
? Professional certification in Electrical design
? Progressive work experience in design or other relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering/ construction firms.
