Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Resident Electrical Engineer opportunity in Ogden, UT.

Full-Time Office/Project
No Telework/No Remote
US Citizenship Required

Position Summary
This position is for a Resident Electrical Engineer who will provide technical support to construction for electrical systems associated with DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. This role will specifically support the USAF Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase. Must be a self starter and capable of independent creative solutions using Bechtel and industry proven concepts and procedures.

Responsibilities
As Resident Electrical Engineer, primary engineering activities will be to provide technical support to construction in their completion of the installation of electrical materials and equipment. Contribute directly to the installation and construction of electrical systems and equipment for the entire facility per approved design. Support work may include the use of SETROUTE, Revit and ETAP for the GBSD design. Individual must have an understanding of electrical discipline drawings such as wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, single line diagrams, schematics, and electrical equipment and raceway layout drawings. Other responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Provide technical support to construction in the completion of the electrical materials and equipment.
Work with project office electrical engineers and designers.
Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for applicability to electrical design documents.
Prepare design solutions for quick resolution of FCDs.
Execute to schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
Coordinate closely with other disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.

Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 9 years of related experience or AA/AS degree with 11 years of related experience, or in lieu of degree, 15 years of design experience.
US citizenship is required per contract requirement.
Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.

Additional Qualifications
Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards,
Broad knowledge of the application of electrical engineering design principles.
Experience with an electronic Cable Management System, such as the Setroute program.
Understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing and cable sizing.
Knowledge of electrical raceway design and equipment layout.
Prior experience working with construction on an active job site.
Ability to resolve design issues independently and collaboratively with other engineering disciplines, construction, and the client.
Knowledge in use of Bechtel Corporate Guides and Standards.
Hands-on experience using Revit MEP.
Ability to express technical issues in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally.
Ability to resolve design issues independently and collaboratively with other engineering disciplines, construction, and the client.
Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense Design.
