Duties and Responsibilities.
Lead, plan, perform and document the results of startup tests performed in accordance with procedures, acceptance standards, and industry procedures. Plan and setup tests.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Commissioning/Startup and Testing issues that arise as part of day-to-day project execution. As such, a key responsibility is to serve in an interface role with many customers concurrently. Lead the planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordination of detailed phases of startup or testing for a project exercising independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, substantial adaption, and modification of standard techniques, guidelines, procedures, and criteria. Perform detailed design reviews and develop commissioning test documentation for projects. Lead, plan, schedule and coordinate detailed phases of startup, operations or maintenance for a project. Review designs for plant operability, safety and jobsite commissioning. Assist with the preparation of operations manuals. Plan, guide or prepare project administrative and technical documents as required for startup, maintenance, operations or testing.

Work Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. SRNS Management will determine appropriate schedule depending on work needs. Each workday has an unpaid 30-minute lunch break.

Area Security Access: Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on work assignments. Candidate who has had an active “Q” clearance within the past two years is preferred.

Education
BS with 10-14 years direct experience or MS with 10-13 years of direct experience. Alternate combination of experience/qualification & certification will be considered where candidate does not have a degree

Experience/Skills
•Personnel shall have technical knowledge of Startup Testing, including experience working in the following technical areas/labor categories:
Conduct Startup Testing
Design reviews
Procedure development
Conduct of Operations
Conduct of Engineering
Conduct of Maintenance
•Demonstrated previous experience in developing, reviewing, approval and presenting NNSA Technical Work Documents.
•Demonstrated personal accountability for facility/project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the safe performance of work.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
•Demonstrated previous experience with the use and implementation of Manual 5E, Startup Test Program, and related directives and standards.
