Job Title: Project Manager II

Location: Richland, WA

Duration: 12 months

Description:

The project manager position plans, coordinates, and executes a variety of small and large-scale projects. Additionally, this position leads and directs activities of project teams that vary based upon project size.

Establishes priorities within projects and maintains a general knowledge of all aspects of the projects within responsibility scope. Maintains a broad knowledge base of new technologies and industry trends as related to assigned projects; monitors processes and projects and recommends changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency; manages project budgets, interacting closely with the finance organization. Frequently coordinates with others both internal and external to the agency to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five years of progressively responsible project management or professional level experience in an electric public utility or equivalent environment (such as government agency or private or public utility related organization). OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and six years of progressively responsible project management or professional level experience in an electric public utility or equivalent environment (such as government agency or private or public utility related organization). OR a high school diploma or GED and eight years for of progressively responsible project management or professional level experience in an electric public utility or equivalent environment (such as government agency or private or public utility related organization).

PMI Project Management Professional Certification desired.

Knowledge of project management techniques. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft computer software and tools for project management. Basic core value behaviors.
