GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a IHS Professional to join our team. This position is full-time and will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.

OVERVIEW
Develops, recommends, and implements programs, policies, and procedures associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of potential health and safety hazards.
Provide daily industrial hygiene and safety support to programmatic or facility organizations or the IHS professional may manage and administer one or more institutional health and safety programs or services.
Uses professional concepts and Laboratory objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods.
Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
May coordinate activities of other personnel. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment, and determines the methods and procedures needed for new assignments.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certifications.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to clearly articulate health and safety requirements.
Ability to work well within a team.
