Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Accounting Assistant 4 opportunity in Los Alamos, NM at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
Location: Remote, with trips to the office a couple of times a month (Pacheco Office Santa Fe, NM)
Schedule: 9/80 schedule – dependent on coverage 7:30a -5p with 30 lunches, with potential overtime.
Clearance: No clearance requirement.

Must live within will need to live within 2 hours of the laboratory.

Education/Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, additional training, certification, and/or education may be expected, such as college level business courses.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience using Oracle Accounts Payable, Concur, and Financial systems.
Knowledge of Lab structure and administrative policies and procedures.
College level coursework in accounting or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional level work experience.
Microsoft Access, Concur Travel System Technology Experience or ability to learn and use the various financial software programs and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Intermediate or advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Accounting Assistant 4
The Controller Division is seeking to hire a highly motivated, energetic and customer-focused Accounting Assistant 4 to provide support to the Controller Travel group (CNTL-TRVL).

The selected candidate will report to the CNTL-TRVL Group Leader and will perform all duties associated with relocation for a wide variety of customers and will provide account status updates and accurate information on relocation, regulations and processes. Administrative duties include answering incoming telephone calls, routing of inquiries and assisting team members in meeting established performance measures. In addition, the individual will become familiar with Microsoft Access which houses the relocation application used for reimbursements. The employee may be required to assist personnel in creating expense reports in the Concur Travel System and process travel expense reports. This will be done using analysis and judgement in gathering, selecting, and interpreting data. The individual will work with travelers to solve problems that may be complex and/or non-routine. The position requires excellent customer service and effective communication. Ability to produce, clear, well-written correspondence is critical. Must be flexible with the work schedule and have an excellent record of availability.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Accounting Experience
Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated skills in the travel industry with an emphasis on employee relocation. Knowledge and experience of federal travel regulations.
Technology Experience or ability to learn and use the various financial software programs and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Intermediate or advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Customer Service

Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing tasks with the ability to work effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Proven record of high productivity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
