UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT 1 (PROJECT CONTROLS)opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.


SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT 1 (PROJECT CONTROLS)

DUTIES

• Expert advice in highly specialized area of organization management and/or project management; Specifically Project, Document, Cost Control, and Planning & Scheduling experience to provide Change Management support.
• Provide guidance to management on classification requirements and compliance and on the CD process and deliverable format
• Review and provide input to specifications for engineered equipment and/or subcontracts
• Review and provide input to estimators on resources (labor and other-than-labor) needed to perform the scope of work
• Provide input to schedulers on sequence, durations, and logic of activities
• Provide input to management regarding risk-informed schedules to serve as the basis for establishing milestones and PBIs.
• Provide input to engineers, estimators, and schedulers on constructability, maintain-ability, operability, and commissioning
• Provide input to technical writers for BOEs, BOS, and WBS data dictionary

Work Hours:
• A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules, including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. Work hours in excess of forty hours a week may be required, as authorized by SRNS management.

Area Security Access:
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. Supplier shall possess a positive FOCI determination from DOE which includes “Q” security clearance level. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (“L” or “Q”) within the past two years are preferred.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

A Two-year degree

Experience/Skills

• Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (“L” or “Q”) within the past two years.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management. Yes
• Five years of experience demonstrating knowledge of desired area of subject matter expertise. Yes
• Candidate must have strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Yes
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
