Job Summary
EGS is seeking an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused individual for the position of Reliability Engineer for the Reliability Engineering Program that supports programmatic equipment for the Weapons Production Facilities located at the Technical Area 55 Division and the facility support systems.

Responsibilities
Overall accountability for Preventive Maintenance Optimization, elimination of recurring unplanned asset failures, and driving Reliability-centered Maintenance practices to establish and continually improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
Supports other teams within the group that perform maintenance on both programmatic equipment and glovebox support systems.
Assures that their program deliverables are met by regularly utilizing an analytical, engineering and computer technology skillsets along with principles and theories of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in conducting Reliability Engineering events, potentially implementing innovative engineering practices and Predictive Maintenance technologies.
Requirements
Working knowledge and experience leading fact-based, solution-driven resolutions to manufacturing problems, including coordinating investigation and research.
Sound knowledge and experience utilizing data gathering and analysis to provide the logical elimination of causal factors.
Experience implementing and sustaining Reliability-centered Maintenance strategies as a maintenance or reliability engineer.
Experience conducting FMEAs, RCAs, developing equipment maintenance strategies, asset criticality analysis, and lifecycle cost analysis.
Experience developing others in engineered maintenance strategies.
Knowledge/understanding of engineering maintenance techniques and construction methodologies.
Experience utilizing good organizational skills as an Engineer with the ability to communicate and provide positive interactions with Technicians, Mechanics, Electrical Safety Officers, Process Engineers, Facility Engineers, etc. Experience developing and delivering clear, concise presentations.
Experience driving equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance processes and procedures.
Experience and working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools, techniques, and methodologies (Strategic Gap Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Design for Six Sigma, Kaizen Event, etc.).
Experience applying advanced concepts, techniques, and standards based on their principals and theories to maximize Continuous Improvement opportunities to affect positive changes and sustained results including Predictive Maintenance technologies (Vibration Analysis, Ultrasonic Testing, Motor Circuit Analysis, Oil or Fluid Analysis, etc.).
Leadership skills and attributes that instill trust and integrity, orchestrate teams towards maximum effectiveness, network key stakeholders across organizations, create profound relationships resulting in repeatable successes, inspire partnerships with line leadership and cross-functional teams, and result in clear and measurable Return On Investments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution and 4 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Highly desired Training/Certifications include Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Lean Principles & Techniques.
Location
This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM or remote location.

Working overtime or irregular schedule, working off-shift/rotating schedule, work near sources of ionizing radiation, work near machinery and moving parts, domestic/foreign travel, mask or respirator, safety glasses and eye protection, gloves or hand protection, hearing protection, safety shoes or protective footgear.
