UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Assurance Engineer - Quality Control Civil Inspector opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.

DUTIES

The purpose of this position is to provide support to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Capital Projects Quality Assurance at the Savannah River Site (SRS). This support is in the form of technical expertise in the areas of quality control and quality assurance with a specific focus in the Civil discipline to include both soils and concrete at an NQA-1 level.
Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working at SRS. The individual shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.

• Extensive knowledge of quality and safety requirements for the nuclear industry and general industrial practices.
• Performance of document reviews to include design documents, plans, procedures, submittals, and other documents in support of a large construction project.
• Performance of inspection planning and preparation of inspection reports.
• Performance of field inspections in support of a large construction project.
• Performance of oversight on soils and concrete testing activities by an Independent Testing Laboratory subcontractor.
• General QA/QC activities as required.
• Foster a work environment that promotes safety, quality, openness, trust, communication, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
HS diploma or GED is required.
Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science discipline.
(4 additional years of related experience will be required in the absence of a Bachelor’s degree)

Experience/Skills:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a QA/QC function preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years civil experience in soils and concrete.
• Prior certification as a civil inspector.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Team Player
• Good computer skills
