TerraPower, LLC. is seeking an I&C Design Engineer on an agency contract basis. Reporting to the Plant I&C Manager, the role involves designing instrumentation and control systems for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies. Responsibilities include collaborating with diverse teams, leading system design, developing specifications, adhering to nuclear standards and regulations, managing supplier projects, and supporting licensing activities. Key qualifications include a degree in Controls, Electrical, or related field, 6+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in I&C systems, familiarity with nuclear safety systems, knowledge of standards, and strong communication skills.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline.

6+ years of direct experience in instrumentation and controls systems.

Experience in industrial I&C platform design and data reporting.

Familiarity with nuclear reactor safety systems preferred.

Knowledge of IEEE and IEC standards desired.

Understanding of nuclear power plant quality assurance standards.

Ability to handle projects with competing objectives and constraints.

Experience with process flow diagrams and piping & instrument diagrams.

Proficiency in CAD software preferred.

Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Self-starter with leadership abilities and coordination skills.

Capability to manage multiple tasks with a multidisciplinary approach.

Familiarity with I&C system startup testing procedures preferred.
