We are looking for a CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEER with the following qualifications:
Desired Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Standard Design process experience is required (IP-ENG-001).
Other Requirements
• Strong background in performing the Responsible Design Engineer duties for nuclear projects. This includes performing in-house design and/or overseeing engineering design performed by contractors.
• Must be able to provide design engineering qualification documentation from previous job.
• It is highly desired to have experience with the industry Standard Design Process as well as utilizing the associated software (CIMSDP).
• Eligibility checks are required.
Work Environment:
• Office work (cubicle) and or Remote work.
• Work week is 4-10’s Monday- Thursday.
Physical requirements?
• Walkdowns with generating design inputs, design verification and circulation preparation is required with a desired focus on structural design (Ability to evaluate support loadings beams, welds, and anchors).
Location:
• Southern Nuclear, Plant Farley, Columbia, AL
Estimated duration:
• 6 months (with possible extension)
