POSITION DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to support the Data Integration organization in the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) oversight organization at the Savannah River Site (SRS). The Data Coordinator is, but not limited to, ensuring the technical execution requested data extractions and report development. The Data Coordinator will provide expert advice daily to the project team on the proper methods to extract data from the project Engineering and Construction systems. The Data Coordinator is expected to work with multiple functional groups such as project management, engineering, planning, procurement, and construction to review and report requirements and determine where the best place is to source the data. The Data Coordinator will also be required to work with other leads and potentially manage lesser skilled employees. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Candidate shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.

• The primary responsibility of this role is to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets, present this data to help guide the project in data-driven decision making, and to contribute to the development of data-driven product and solutions.
• Understanding the data captured in Engineering and Construction software applications
• Build-out SQL queries and views, Power BI dashboards, and semantic models, and present methodology and key insights.
• Use a diverse set of techniques spanning machine learning and other forms of statistical modeling to solve important business and product problems.
• Collaborate with other leads, subject matter experts, and decision makers to develop success criteria and optimize new products, features, policies, and models.
Services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.

​​​​​​EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree and/or extensive specialized training; or extensive experience applicable to special needs of the task or highly specialized training directly applicable to the task area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of experience in applicable role.
Prior work experience in project management or Construction Engineering at NNSA and DOE sites.
Demonstrated experience in System Administration or other “Back-end” level work in Engineering and Construction software applications
​​​​​​Proven experience in evaluating strategic alternatives to reduce costs, accelerate schedules and or improve performance compared to existing baselines.
Candidate must be able to obtain a DOE "Q" Clearance.

​​​​​LOCATION
The primary location for performance of these activities will be at Savannah River Site. Some work may be performed remotely, as directed. Other business travel locations will depend on the specific tasking requested by SRPPF Project Management.

The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation. The work schedule will be a nominal 40-hour work week but can be part-time or with interruption between on-site requirements dependent on the support requirements necessary for the project. It is estimated that each standard year will consist of two-thousand and eighty hours. Ability to work a schedule that includes weekend days.
