This Cost Manager role will oversee cost management for projects and programs. Includes preparation and analysis of cost reports for projects and/or programs. Other duties as necessary may be assigned. This opportunity is eligible for a Remote working arrangement (within the United States) with periodic travel into the Rock Hill, SC office. Your Day to Day:

• Prepares and directs the implementation of cost control methods and activities. Oversees the cost control systems, manages and interprets cost audits, and prepares cost control reports for presentation to top management. Expert knowledge with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Manages the cost control staff and typically reports to top management.
• Supervises and manages the activities cost control professional employees; has accountability for managing financial resources; sets day-to-day direction for employees to support business objectives
• Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors; coordinates resources to meet short-term objectives
• Has formal supervisory responsibilities; typically does not perform the work being supervised; manages budget for own area and allocates resources accordingly; develops plans and coordinates resources to meet operational objectives within own area; Works within budget to meet operational objectives set by manager
• Contributes to functional strategy development. Has in-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge
• Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies
• Applies technical and/or managerial expertise to improve effectiveness
• Has in-depth knowledge of work processes and tools within own area and knowledge of the related disciplines and provides technical guidance to employees
• Interprets business issues and adapts work priorities in own area
• Anticipates and interprets customer needs to identify solutions
• Uses operational and supervisory expertise to resolve operational, customer, employee or technical problems that impact the effectiveness of own area and resolve complex problems that have implications beyond own area
• Explains difficult concepts and persuades others to adopt a point of view
• Develops relationships with key internal/external customers to identify emerging needs; anticipates demands to align operational priorities
• Manages performance of employees through task assignments, goal setting, ongoing skill assessment and coaching.

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant field of study
• 10+ years of relevant Project Controls/Cost experience
