In the role of Principal Project controls Specialist - Schedule in our team, you will serve as a project controls subject matter expert on projects for scheduling. Your contribution for a carbon-free future

As a Principal Project control specialist in schedule here with us, your main responsibility will be :

  • Responsible for the scheduling for all the Nordics projects under ES and ICS.
  • Initiate and plan all schedule aspects of a project, which includes, but is not limited to project baselines and risk registers. Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that inefficiencies are reduced and overall project performance is optimized.
  • Extensive Primavera scheduling experience required (Resource loading & Earned value management) and basic knowledge on MS Project.
  • Evaluate and update the schedule on a weekly basis with the functional leader and propose mitigation actions plan.
  • Prepare the internal & external reporting, maintain and develop leading KPI's.
  • Must have advanced skills in communication, cross-cultural awareness and leadership.
  • Coordinate required tasks/deadlines. Escalate issues to appropriate levels of management.
  • Serve as project Schedule point of contact for internal and external customers in support of the successful project execution through completion. Integrate project's objectives and actions through participation with other project groups in matters of common concern.
In addition to your daily tasks, you will participate with the rest of the team to build new standards and process in relation with project control (Schedule, Risks, costs).
The role is placed in Vasteras and can be flexible (Hybrid). Why Westinghouse? Who You Are & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project cost controls experience in the nuclear industry or in EPC projects
  • Some experience in other project controls areas such as Cost control, Risk Management, change control would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management, previous experience working with different business systems and tools (i.e. P6,SAP, MSP and Excel)
