[Project Manager] Project Manager I Needed ASAP!

MATRIX is seeking a Project Manager I to join our dynamic team. Ideally, this person will have experience in the Nuclear industry with proven project management experience, a solid understanding of project lifecycles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. It is also a great opportunity for those who have a depth of skills & experience in supporting project team roles (Schedulers, Planners, Cost Analyst, Field Engineers, etc.) who are looking to continue career progression through a role in Project Management. 


The primary work location will be onsite at a client facility in Killona, Louisiana. 


*All applicants must be able to attain unescorted access to a US Nuclear power facility. This will require background checks and drug screening *


Responsibilities:


Project Planning:

Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Execution and Monitoring:

Lead the execution of projects according to the project plan, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or deviations from the plan.

Resource Management:

Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to optimize project delivery.
Work closely with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure adequate resource availability.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential impact.
Proactively address issues and challenges to keep the project on track.

Communication:

Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and project sponsors.
Prepare and deliver regular project status reports and presentations.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with client or organizational requirements.
Implement and enforce best practices for project execution and documentation.

Budget Oversight:

Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate positive relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
Address stakeholder concerns and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of project management processes and methodologies.


Required Skills:

Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and processes.
Ability to create and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
Capability to make decisions and lead by example.
Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with the ability to be proactive in identifying and addressing project challenges.
Ability to engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors while understanding and balancing stakeholder interests.
Experience in allocating and managing resources efficiently with the ability to optimize resource utilization across projects.
Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and the capability to develop risk management strategies to ensure project success.
Commitment to maintaining high-quality project deliverables.
Skill in implementing and enforcing quality assurance processes.
Ability to manage project budgets and financial resources effectively with an understanding of financial reporting and forecasting.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements or unexpected challenges with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to understand and address client needs while building and maintaining positive client relationships.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Commitment to continuous improvement and learning and the willingness to contribute to the development and enhancement of project management processes.
Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
Effective in building and maintaining a positive team culture.
Familiarity with relevant project management tools and software.
Basic understanding of the technical aspects of Nuclear Power Generation projects.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field. Specific and detailed work experience will be considered in place of a formal degree.
Experience as a Project Manager or a depth of experience is a supporting Project Team Member role, demonstrating successful completion of projects.
CAPM certification is a plus.

Experience Level:

Minimum of 3 years of direct project management experience

or

5 years’ experience in advanced project team roles (Schedulers, Planners, Cost Analyst, Field Engineers, etc.)
