Title- REMOTE PIPE SUPPORT ENGINEER
Type- Contract
Duration- 1 year
100 % REMOTE
40 plus hour work weeks

Position is located in Ogden, UT - Project will consider remote work for qualified candidate.
Position Summary

Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.


Responsibilities

Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.


Qualifications & Skills

Basic Qualifications

Level 1: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 1 year of related experience.
Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years of related experience.
US citizenship is required per contract requirement.
Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.


Minimum Qualifications

Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.
Prior experience using structural analysis programs.


Preferred Qualifications

EIT certification or PE registration.
Prior experience using pipe support analysis programs GT STRUDL.
Prior experience using Pipe Support Modeling software.
Previous company project experience.
Previous DOD/DOE project experience.
