Electrical Engineer (voltage regulation, transformer related)
Project: Position will provide owner’s oversight and review of designs for Turbine replacements
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Duration: Initially One Year w/ annual extensions expected
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Per Diem: $178.00 (7 days)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each
Required Education and Certifications / Licenses:
• Electrical Engineering degree
• Prior license extension work is preferred
BCP is looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer with prior license extension experience. This will position focuses on maintaining ""voltage regulation"" within the plant by ensuring the electrical output from the generator stays within a specified range during uprate activities. This is an owner’s rep position.
This position will:
• Be responsible for reviewing documents and designs provided by the engineering firms.
• Provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety, and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability.
• Monitor, trend, and assess systems and components to improve reliability.
• Establish system performance for designated electrical systems, identify and prioritize correction actions to ensure system safety, reliability, and availability.
• Develop and scope long term asset management strategies and life cycle management.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve system performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with design/license basis
Physical Requirements: lift 50 lbs. Perform weekly walkdowns
