Savannah River Nuclear Solutions is looking for (1) Advisory Engineer
Will close to submissions on 3/10 at 5:00PM EST.
Education and Years of Experience: Typically, an advance degree in Engineering, Math, or Science with relevant work experience - PhD degree and about 15 years relevant work experience, MS degree and 17 years relevant work experience, BS degree and/or about 21 years relevant work experience
Top Required Skills:
- Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the nuclear safety industry through support to the DOE or the commercial nuclear industry.
- Previous experience with implementation of 10 CFR 830, DOE O 413.3A, DOE O 420.1B, and related standards and guides is required.
- Minimum requirements include experience with DOE O 151.1, DOE G 151.1-2; knowledge of Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) and Emergency Action Level (EAL) evaluations; and knowledge of consequence assessments using the ALOHA and HotSpot computer codes.
-Additionally, previous experience developing EPHAs, developing supporting/related documents, reviewing EPHAs and related documents, AND ensuring EPHAs and related documents comply with applicable rules and regulations is required.
- A working knowledge of DOE-STD-3009, DOE-STD-1186, NUREG-0700, and IEEE Standard 1023 is required.
- In addition to the working knowledge, candidates are required to have previous writing experience with Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) Chapter 13 preparation and previously performed Human Factors facility evaluations per the DOE Standards and Orders referenced.
- Candidates must also have a working knowledge of frequency analysis.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred

PF-81 Evaluation Criteria:
� Price and Cost to Company: 20%
� Technical Acceptability: 80%
Duration of the Contract: ONE (1) YEAR WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR OPTION YEARS.
� Option Periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the Hiring Manager
� Yearly Options will automatically include a 3.5% escalation
Estimated Hours Per Year: 1200 ST/ 200 OT
Work Schedule: 6am to 430pm, Mon-Thurs. This is a PT position.
Onsite or Remote? Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense. Up to 50% Hybrid with approval
