Our client, a major nuclear power producer based in Virginia, has an immediate need for a Licensing Engineer for a long term contract assignment.

Job Summary
A highly motivated individual is needed to provide expert licensing direction and leadership regarding leading and supporting activities towards the development of licensing regulatory pathways and strategies that are developed internally or from the management of specialized contractors with �new build� licensing expertise. The successful candidate will lead and manage all licensing activities that are required to develop and submit a Part 50 and/or Part 52 license application to be submitted to the NRC while obtaining regulatory compliance for all such activities as well as participating in regulatory mapping activities if required with other international regulators. The successful candidate will be able to evaluate the applicability of Part 53 and its readiness for use if Dominion elects to use that licensing approach. The successful candidate will develop the regulatory engagement plan and establish a solid working relationship with the NRC to negotiate regulatory requirements and resolve potential conflicts associated with Request for Information (RFI) or other items. The successful candidate will lead a �new and significant� evaluation, as needed, based on previously issued license material from the NRC or related endorsements. The successful candidate will also take a lead role in the conduct of siting studies to ensure regulatory and licensing requirements are adequately addressed and evaluated when required.

Education Level:
Bachelor in Engineering required

Preferred Years of Experience:
10 years of experience working in the licensing area at or in support of a nuclear station is required with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in �new reactor� licensing or reactor design change licensing preferred.

Per diem is available for this position.
