Your Day-to-Day:
- Prepare and review several types of structural calculations and analyses to Client and structural standards and codes. This includes the ability to design and qualify anchor bolts and support systems, concrete and structures for different loading combinations and equipment support structures. These analyses will provide the structural input for multiple plant projects for installation into the plant.
- Prepare and review of several types of piping analyses to Client and structural standards and codes. This includes the ability to design and qualify piping systems different pressure, temperature combinations for several systems. These analyses will provide the piping input for multiple plant projects for installation into the plant.
- Engineering oversite and management of multiple projects
- Work with the project manager, construction, planning, engineering, and other disciplines to support the project to ensure the engineering is completed with quality.
- Initiate engineering change paperwork and other documentations required for implementing plant modification.
- Bachelor of Science from a 4-year university.
- The expectation is to become qualified in our client's Position Specific Guides (PSG) and Engineering Support Personnel (ESP) Training.
- 2 years of experience relating to the design or operation of commercial Nuclear Power Plants
- Working knowledge of ASME and ANSI codes/standards.
- Prepare specifications, calculations, and drawings for plant systems.
- Communicate through written and verbal means.
- Must have experience working in a Team environment.
- Have used analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the Nuclear Standard Design Process, and experience preparing engineering drawings including but not limited to vendor drawings, for plant modification packages.
