Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Certified Industrial Hygienist opportunity in Richland, WA.

Job Description:
Seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) for worker protection, and to establish baseline data to ensure employees are not exposed to chemical/organic vapor and nuisance dust at or above established OSHA, NIOSH and ACGIH permissible exposure limits (PEL�s). Will perform intake and analysis of collected air sampling from project locations.

Project work will include:
� Providing direct read instrumentation for air monitoring to ensure capture of the appropriate potential acid/organic vapors present in the chemical batch make-up process.
� Personal air monitoring for potential exposure to fugitive particulates.
� Confined space air monitoring for oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and other potential contaminates.
� Hexavalent Chromium monitoring for planned welding operations.
� Maintaining a Silica exposure controls and monitoring workers for compliance with the respirable silica worker protection standards.
� Providing necessary IH equipment to satisfy air monitoring requirements.
� Providing chemical storage reviews and site plan layouts.
� Assisting in chemical packaging and transport process to move bulk chemicals from the ATC to the AEL.
� Assisting in Hazardous Waste evaluations and reporting criterial to State of Washington Department of Ecology.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Industrial Hygienist (IH) will provide all project and facility related industrial air monitoring and oversight of worker protection standards relating to airborne contaminates in the workplace. The IH will also ensure all applicable OSHA/WISHA standards for Hazard Communication are current and may assist in worker training as needed to comply with Hazard Communication standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:
� Minimum of 5 years� experience in operating facilities
� Has passed the examination through the American Board of Industrial Hygiene
� Currently certified through the Board of Certified Industrial Hygienists
� Physically capable of lifting 50 LBS
� Ability to take and pass written training
� Qualified to wear PPE (chemical suits etc.) and work with Hazardous chemicals
o Respiratory Fit Tested
o Medical Surveillance
o Mask Fit -FF/Half Mask
