Location: 2801 George Washington Way, Richland, WA 99354 USA
Provide a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) support for worker protection, and to establish baseline data to ensure employees and contract employees are not exposed to chemical/organic vapor and nuisance dust at or above established OSHA, NIOSH and ACGIH permissible exposure limits (PEL�s). The subcontractor will provide either in-house laboratory analysis or contract with an accredited laboratory for intake and analysis of collected air sampling from project
locations.
Project work will include:
a. Providing direct read instrumentation for air monitoring to ensure capture of the appropriate potential acid/organic vapors present in the chemical batch make-up process.
b. Personal air monitoring for potential exposure to fugitive particulates
c. Confined space air monitoring for oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and other potential contaminates.
d. Hexavalent Chromium monitoring for planned welding operations.
e. Maintaining a Silica exposure controls and monitoring workers for compliance with the respirable silica worker protection standards.
f. Provide necessary IH equipment to satisfy air monitoring requirements.
g. Provide chemical storage reviews and site plan layouts.
h. Assist in chemical packaging and transport process to move bulk chemicals from the ATC to the AEL.
i. Assist in Hazardous Waste evaluations and reporting criterial to State of Washington Department of Ecology.
