[Electrical Designer] ^*^*^*Senior Design Specialist A (Electrical Designer) ^*^*^*

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide Electrical Designer staff augmentation support to SRNS. Primary duties include design development, and generation of design output documents in the following areas: Equipment Layout, Grounding, Raceway Layout, Lighting Systems, and Schematics, Connection and Wiring Diagrams.

Design services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.

Work Hours: Up to a 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10�s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80�s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
An associates degree in a technical discipline and at least 10 - 12 years work experience or 12 - 16 years of practical work experience.
Position Specific: Required work experience shall include at least 8 years of experience as an Electrical Designer

Experience/Skills:
Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of National Census Codes and Standards for electrical design such as IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA.

Significant recent, with-in the last 5 years, experience with 2D MicroStation Computer Aided Drafting and Design is required.

Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas, and dressing out in protective clothing.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Area Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE �Q� security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE / NNSA.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous SRS Design Engineering or DOE facility experience is preferred.

Formal training in Computer Aided Design is preferred.
