JOB SUMMARY.
Develop designs for complex engineering systems. Prepare drawings and technical reports. Participate in the development of design standards and procedures. Perform technical review of design documents and specifications. Provide engineering services support to construction activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules. and make safety an integral part of each task. Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Review design output documents in accordance with approved procedures to establish inspection requirements in quality assurance procedures, construction plans, and/or work packages. Coordinate with internal and external sources to resolve quality issues and provide status of the inspection/test ac vi es for the work activity. Review technical criteria, personnel qualifications and work sequence on work packages including the notation of hold points prior to performance of inspections. Perform or direct the quality inspection activities of subordinate QC engineers and other inspection personnel as assigned. Assist in resolution of code, specifications and drawing interpretations. Perform or supervise the performance of inspection, witness, test, surveillance, and documents the results of the inspection ac vi es. Assess the completeness of construction ac vi es and quality verification documentation prior to preparation of quality control releases for turnover. Review subcontractor's quality program for compliance to established procedures, a ends mobilization meetings and monitor their ac vi es for proper implementation. Review suppliers and/or subcontractor's quality verification documentation for traceability and specification compliance. Review, assess and status subcontractors' costs, manpower and materials. Approve subcontracts invoices and application for payment

Work Hours:
Up to a 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/l0's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 5 - 7 years of practical experience in
construction inspection or related areas. An associate�s degree and 7 - 9 years of practical experience
would be considered equivalent. A high school diploma and 10 - 14 years of parcel experience would
also be considered equivalent. Certification with continuing technical training is required for
performance of inspections and surveillance ac vi es. Specialized training may also be required to
support certain technical areas.

Experience/Skills:
� Practical field experience in civil (soils, concrete, reinforcing steel, structural steel, protective coatings) quality control inspections. � Ability to develop, review, and implement inspection plans in accordance with technical documents, codes and standards. � Competency in reviewing and issuing non-conformance reports and coordinating corrective actions. � Strong organizational and communication skills to foster a collaborative and safety-oriented work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who have possessed an ac ve DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred. Experience working under NQA-1 quality assurance programs at DOE facilities. Practical civil/structural field experience within the last 12 months.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Area Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE �Q� security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned du es. A er award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE / NNSA.
