Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Engineer opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.
Work Location: Aiken, SC

Electrical Engineer-
Duties:
Engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Single Line Drawings; Electrical Equipment Lists; Control System Design; Electrical Equipment Specifications; Bulk Material Specifications; Circuit/Raceway/Wiring/Connection Design; Grounding; Heat Tracing; Fire Detection
Education/Yrs. Of Experience:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering.
Five (5) years� design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
Skills/Experience:
Provide engineering services to assigned SRMC Engineering Teams which include engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design output documents in the following areas: 480 Volt Power distribution system design including Circuit protection, Analysis, and Coordination; Develop Single Line, Schematic and wiring diagrams; Equipment layout and Raceway design; Electrical Equipment specifications and Procurement; Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for electrical design such as IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA.
Must demonstrate knowledge of NEC code requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
Other Job Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to walk down systems in the field.
Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
