Education & Experience: Bachelor�s degree in a technical discipline and 12 years of relevant experience. Associate degree in a technical discipline and 16 years of relevant experience. High School Diploma and 20 years of relevant experience.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- A comprehensive level of knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the functional area assigned is required, including specific knowledge of a facility or area or location supported, where - appropriate. Thorough knowledge and understanding of all pertinent policies, practices, procedures, DOE orders and regulatory statutes which impact the function or facility supported.
- Minimum of four (4) years� experience working in Contamination areas.
- Experience within disciplined operations environments, including experience in the Conduct of Operations and Rad Con functional areas.
- Demonstrate ability to understand and communicate Rad Con terms and requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to coordinate, interface, and communicate with management, facility, operations, quality assurance, and Rad Con personnel.

Nice to Have:
- Experience working in a Pu-238 contaminated environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of F-Area Complete (FAC) and working in a contaminated environment is preferred.

DUTIES
Plan, develop, implement and administer a variety of broad or unique programmatic, technical or administrative functions in direct or indirect support of operations. Provide immediate level guidance, work direction, oversight, and leadership to a functional work group(s), section or unit in an operations or operations support capacity.
Act in a lead capacity and may direct the work of both exempt and nonexempt employees in a non-supervisory capacity. Perform a wide variety of complex, advanced and diverse functions in direct or indirect support of operations in the area, department, section, unit or work group assigned.
Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet objectives. Exhibit competency at the highest technical or programmatic level as demonstrated through both personal expertise and the effective direction and leadership of assigned work group.
Provide centralized control of a program or process that supports operations. Interpret and communicate programmatic, technical or process changes to operations personnel. Generally acknowledged as the highest level subject matter expert in a staff position for the general function or area supported. Monitor and assess operations-related evolutions in facility systems or equipment.
Ensure the safe and optimally efficient operation of facility systems and equipment. Perform periodic reviews and assessments to ensure facility systems are operating properly and are being maintained within required limits.
Maintain a comprehensive awareness of scheduled or anticipated work evolutions or other related operations support activities that could impact facility operations on shift/area of responsibility.
Demonstrate positive and adverse trends in operations and operations support Performance measures. Identify causal factors and develop recommendations to mitigate adverse trends and to enhance positive trends. Prepare and/or review facility work packages and related work control processes in support of operations.
Review and ensure the communication and understanding of new and revised technical and operations procedures, bulletins and required reading to operators and other relevant operations support personnel.
Conduct training for operations personnel on new systems and equipment and evaluate and critique performance. Function in a variety of contingency coordinator roles in support of operations. May provide feedback and recommendations to management on work group performance for training, discipline, promotion and demotion. May provide relief for or represent the next immediate level of management.
Provide Operations support to CLIENT at F-Area Complex (FAC) to accomplish deactivation activities. Primary responsibilities include FAC oversight support functions to contribute to successful facility operations, training, Safety Basis, procedures, readiness, and drills/emergency response. Assist with minimizing radiation and contamination exposure by providing assistance during the preplanning of work.
Observe work from procedures, training, shift logs, and verbal turnover to ensure expected Conduct of Operations procedures are followed. Communicate concerns and issues observed to management, and other support personnel to ensure safe, effective conduct of operations. Perform administrative functions such as performing briefings to management and documenting observations in a report.
