Description:
This role is in the I&C (Instrumentation and Control) Design Engineering Organization. In this role the candidate will be preforming the role of an RE (Responsible Engineer). This will require the individual to be the technical lead for the assigned project. Candidates must demonstrate technical proficiency in combination with good communication skills and leadership skills to coordinate activities between other department and selected vendors.

This role is a Subject Matter Experts (SME)s level. The candidate must provide engineering/technical expertise to solve complex problems, and leadership skills to provide oversight of work in the I&C Design organization, with minimal supervision and oversight. Incumbents are expected to have advanced skills and have the ability to work independently.

Basic Qualifications:
� Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent degree or work experience
� 10+ years engineering experience in the nuclear industry
� Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility (General Employee Training, Radiation Worker Training, Security Clearance checks and subject to the sites Fitness for Duty Program)
� Strong oral / written communication skills within a professional environment
� Skilled in the practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.
� Must be able to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
� Registration/Licensure as a Professional Engineer
� Experience in digital hardware / software modifications
� Digital / I&C engineering experience at Brunswick Nuclear Plant
� Working knowledge of digital upgrade specific licensing requirements and current 10CFR73.54 Cyber Security Requirements
� Experience developing digital / software modification test plans
� Experience in the 10CFR50.59 with respect to designing modifications to a nuclear facility.
