The Subcontractor shall be experienced in Hazard and Accident Analysis (HA) for a DOE non-reactor nuclear facility. The subcontractor will need to have experience in Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) preparation, hazard analysis, accident analysis, and hazard control selection. The subcontractor will be required to travel to Los Alamos to participate in document development meetings with CHTRU and other supporting personnel. The subcontractor should have experience or familiarity with the Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) process.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Uses in-depth experience involving Nuclear Safety and Engineering with an understanding of regulatory and project management, as well as being knowledgeable of requirements and guidance documentation contained within a DOE environment.
Applies extensive technical expertise in Nuclear Safety. Develops technical solutions to complex Hazard and Accident Analysis problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated.
Provides other complex technical support and analysis as requested by the Area G DSA Operational Efficiency Project Manager, Nuclear Safety Project Lead, and/or the Nuclear Safety and Criticality Director. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique, and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of various and complex assignments. Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of superior.
If assigned, will guide the successful completion of the Area G DSA Operational Efficiency project deliverables or other important mission-enabling documents. Represents organization as a technical contact on project inputs.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelors' degree in appropriate discipline; however, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the position's duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.

Must meet the terms and conditions in accordance with the MSA Subcontract Staff Augmentation Personnel, Exhibit D-3 N3B Level Charts.
F. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The period of performance (POP) will be upon award through April 29, 2026. The expert may work up to providing full time support through the period.
G. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
Travel will be necessary, see below. Most work can be performed remotely.
H. TRAVEL
Travel will be necessary to perform site walk downs and interact with facility personnel. Work can be done remote and upon execution of the PO, N3B telecommuting forms will be required
