A major nuclear power company owns multiple inactive nuclear power units and is planning to perform a restart of these units. ESLLC has been tasked to provide potential candidates to support this evolution. The client has multiple needs; the list is reminiscent of early startup and testing processes. Please see the following requests:
Engineers
Electrical Large wires and voltage experience in the following areas:
Design, Design Review and Owners Acceptance review qualified.
Work on electrical buses, breaker coordination, HV Switchyard design and testing work
Large 500 KV or 345 KV transformers testing/replacement.
Electrical EQ, setpoint analysis, etc.
Engineers who are qualified (or can easily be qualified) to the new standard design process, to be able to support Engineering Change package (EC) Owner Acceptance Reviews (OARs) for multiple I&C and electrical type ECs and projects.
Engineers who are qualified (or can easily be qualified) to support the development and running of engineering test procedures, for the final commissioning of equipment such as a new TSI (and MFPT overspeed protection device), EEQ parts, and new Power Range NI drawers.
Procedure Writers
Qualified with Procedure Writer Certification from the Procedure Professionals Association or equivalent:
Operations
Maintenance (I&C)
Project Managers
Manage the refurbishment of ~ 60 breaker cubicles and change-outs on any number of MCC buckets.
Basic Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Education Requirements:
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 4 year Degree
5+ years of relevant engineering experience
� Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles
� Skilled in use of advanced techniques and extension of theories, precepts and practices of substation design (or related sciences and disciplines)
� Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)
� Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
� Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices
� Equally effective working independently or in team environment
� Proven decision making skills
� Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks
� Strong planning, organizational and project skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
� Experience with ETAP and PSSE is preferred
� Experience with relays and control systems
� An understanding of substation and transmission line engineering is preferred
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Professional Engineer License is preferred but not required
