We are seeking qualified candidates to perform the following:

Education & Experience: Ph.D. degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years' experience. OR A MS with 8+ years' experience. OR A BS with 10+ years' experience or more. Preferred electrical engineering/science degree with twenty-five (25) years of experience in facility engineering support with a minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in design authority engineering experience.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:
-Candidate must be able to perform weekly field walk downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances of over half a mile, climbing of ladders to access remote areas, dressing out in protective clothing and environments where a respirator is required.
- Candidates must be able to conduct independent technical reviews of nuclear technical work documents in support of Electrical Design Authority work, including the various NNSA projects underway.

Nice to Have:
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
- Prior SRS experience and NNSA Capital Projects experience preferred.
- Conduct of Engineering related procedures and requirements in the DOE/NNSA environment
- Conduct of Maintenance and Construction related activities preferred.
- Department of Energy Orders and Regulations relative to the technical support required of DOE facilities.
- Working knowledge of Engineering Codes/standards requirements.
- Demonstration of working with multi-functional engineering organizations

Duration: 12 months with possible extension(s)
