Technical Field Advisor � Steam Turbine Generator Systems
Contract Opportunities � Multiple Locations � Spring 2026 Outage Season

System One is seeking experienced Technical Field Advisors (TFAs) to support our clients during the Spring 2026 outage season. These contract roles will be based at various customer-owned utility and nuclear power plants across the U.S. and Canada.

As a TFA, you will provide on-site technical direction for Steam Turbine Generator Systems. Your work will involve reviewing plant engineering documents and P&IDs, troubleshooting plant systems and equipment, and coordinating the planning, organization, and integration of labor, tools, and materials to complete outage work scopes safely and efficiently. The primary mission: ensuring the safe maintenance and repair of critical power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations for Steam Turbine Generator Systems.

Lead outage crews, including craft labor, union technicians, and service teams.

Respond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Provide technical guidance and training to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, and maintenance.

Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, job status updates, and other required documentation.

Verify that all necessary parts and materials are on-site prior to work execution.

Conduct walk-downs during installation to ensure quality and compliance.

Implement aftermarket upgrades and modifications as needed.

Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality in all outage activities.

Basic Qualifications
Associate degree (or higher) in a relevant technical field with 5+ years of experience in power plant maintenance, turbine maintenance, or equipment installation/commissioning; OR high school diploma/GED with 7+ years of relevant experience.

Hands-on experience with steam turbine outages (OEM experience preferred).

Ability to travel extensively (up to 80% annually) for project assignments.

Eligibility for unescorted access to U.S. and Canadian nuclear facilities.

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.

Successful completion of required technical and safety training programs.

Desired Qualifications
Proven ability to support outage activities from planning through execution.

Strong customer service mindset with effective communication and leadership skills.

Field engineering services experience, including pipe fitting and tubing work.

Project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Ability to work in fast-paced outage environments with tight deadlines.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
