System One is seeking an experienced Nuclear Principal Engineer (Structural-Seismic Design) to support our customer in Aiken, SC. This role is responsible for leading technical problem-solving, reviewing complex design documents, and providing expert guidance on nuclear structural and seismic design activities.

Nuclear Principal Engineer (Structural-Seismic Design)

Location: Aiken, SC

Local candidates only

Type: 12-Month Contract (with option to extend)

Work Model: Onsite

Clearance: DOE Q (preferred) or L active within past 2 years

Key Responsibilities

Lead scope development, program planning, and provide innovative engineering solutions.

Review and comment on design output documents and contribute to Formal Design Review reports.

Apply advanced technical practices in seismic/structural design and nuclear engineering.

Mentor less senior engineers and provide technical guidance across disciplines.

Prepare schedules, budgets, technical reports, and recommendations.

Stay current with industry advancements and contribute to technical publications or societies.

Qualifications

PhD + 5 yrs, MS + 8 yrs, or BS + 10 yrs in engineering discipline.

15+ years of nuclear or industrial engineering experience.

Strong background in structural and seismic design.

Prior nuclear engineering project experience highly preferred.
