[Instrumentation Engineer] *REMOTE* Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

•Up to $90/hr depending on experience/benefits
•Remote, contract role (work from anywhere in the U.S.)

EGS is looking for a REMOTE (work from anywhere in the US) Contract Senior Electrical
Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with experience in power systems, design review, and
NEC compliance. Skilled in optimizing designs, automating calculations, and
coordinating projects across various industries. The engineer will apply advanced engineering
techniques, make decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represent the
organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and
officials of other organizations. Will primarily independently execute designs but also provide
technical guidance to less experienced designers on the team.
Must be US Citizen.
Primary Responsibilities
• Produce project designs
• Perform Code Reviews
• Redline project drawings
• Develop and review of construction documents
• Write and review specifications
• Perform project quality assurance/quality control, including independent technical
reviews and interdisciplinary coordination reviews
• Provide engineering support to equipment fabrication and installation.
• Attend client meetings and making presentations to clients
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program with 4
or more years of progressive experience in Electrical I&C Engineering design
• Experience in electrical calculations (power distribution, fault circuit analysis, lighting,
and grounding)
• NFPA (including NEC), ISA, IEEE Regulatory Codes experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred
• Previous work on Department of Energy governmental facility projects
• Knowledge of Nuclear related design (NQA-1, NRTL, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD based drawing generation experience
• SKM or ETAP experience
