Savannah River Nuclear Solutions is looking for (3) Senior Design Specialist - A/2D/3D Structural Designer

Education & Experience: An associates degree in a technical discipline and at least 10 - 12 years work experience or 12 - 16 years of practical work experience

Required Experience/Skills:
- Requires an in-depth knowledge of engineering systems, applications, calculations, materials, construction methods, and relevant computer applications.
- Applies advanced principles and practices in engineering to resolve problems identified by construction organizations in a timely manner.
- Continued updating on new technologies and hardware in the industry is necessary
- Candidate must demonstrate 8 years of experience as a Structural Designer including experience with structural detailing and design of building structures and commodity supports.
- Knowledge of 3D structural modeling and experience using 3D Modeling using Hexagon’s S3D software is required.
- Must have working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for structural design.
- Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas,
dressing out in protective clothing.
- Candidate must have the ability to produce quality documents with attention to detail

Nice to Have:
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred
- Previous SRS Design Engineering or DOE facility experience is preferred.

Duration of the Contract: ONE (1) YEAR WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR OPTION YEARS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION.
• Option Periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the hiring manager.
• Yearly options will automatically include a 3.5% escalation.
